As a member of our credit union, you also have a responsibility to safeguard your financial information.
 
To ensure that you can rely upon the quality of products and service we make available, our credit union stands behind the following policy:
 
Trivantage Community FCU will collect only the personal information that is necessary to conduct our business.  That means just what is necessary to provide competitive financial products and services - no more.  This information will come to us from a variety of sources including:
  • Information you provide directly to us on applications or otherwise (such as Social Security number, assets, and income)
  • Information related to your transactions with Trivantage Community FCU (such as account balance, payment history and credit card usage) or with others.
  • Information we receive from third parties (such as consumer reporting agencies)
  • Information obtained at your request (such as aggregated information from multiple financial providers for the purpose of developing a financial profile or plan)

Trivantage Community FCU will protect your personal information.  Our credit union will maintain strong security controls to ensure that member information in our files and computers is protected.  Where appropriate, we will use security-coding techniques to protect against unauthorized access to personal records, ensure accuracy and integrity of communication and transactions, and protect member confidentiality.

Trivantage Community FCU will share information only when absolutely necessary.  We only share information to administer the products and services we provide, when required to do so by the government, or when we partner with other businesses to offer a broader array of products and services.

Trivantage Community FCU will not disclose any non-public personal information about you to anyone, except as permitted by law.  However, we may disclose non-public personal information about you (such as your name & address) to non-affiliated third parties for the purposes of performing services for Trivantage Community FCU, such as mailing disclosures or credit union information to you.

Trivantage Community FCU will collaborate only with businesses that follow strict confidentiality requirements.  Trivantage Community FCU has never sold member information to third parties and never will.  The businesses that we do partner with will only offer products designed to enhance our members' economic well being.  Under no circumstances will we authorize these firms to charge your account without your express consent.

If you decide to close your account, Trivantage Community FCU will adhere to the privacy policies and practices as described in this notice.
